Solutions

The Energy Roadmap, in full.

Most energy projects start with a purchase. Ours starts with a measurement. We connect what you already have, trade what the market will pay for, and only then tell you what's worth building.

Phase by phase

Four phases, from first connection to continuous optimisation.

PHASE 01

Connect

The Shockflo Controller is installed and commissioned. Meters, inverters, chargers and HVAC are read. A baseline is established from live half-hourly data — not from an estimate.

PHASE 02

Trade

Once operation is stable, eligible flexible capacity is entered into energy markets through established UK aggregators. Revenue is reconciled against partner settlement statements.

PHASE 03

Build

Six months of your own data shows what's worth investing in — battery storage, additional solar, charging — and what isn't. Specified from measured consumption.

PHASE 04

Optimise

New assets are integrated, controlled and traded alongside the existing ones. The site keeps improving rather than plateauing after the first install.

The second clause matters. Telling a customer not to spend is what makes the recommendation credible when it comes. If the data doesn't support a battery, we'll say so.
Integration coverage

Built for the assets that are already on your site.

Shockflo is hardware-agnostic. We integrate through open protocols and local edge control where deterministic operation matters, and through manufacturer APIs where they are reliable and permitted.

MODBUS TCP / RTU

Solar PV & inverters

Generation, curtailment status and export behaviour, read at the inverter rather than inferred from a cloud portal.

MODBUS TCP · CT / MID

Battery storage

State of charge, power limits and import-limit control. Operating envelope defined and enforced locally.

OCPP 1.6J / 2.0.1

EV charging

Session and load visibility. Treated as a monitored load until a power-limit interface is demonstrated on site.

BACNET / IP

HVAC & BMS

Plant status and setpoints within comfort and process constraints agreed with the site before anything is controlled.

MODBUS · PULSE

Metering

Intake and sub-metering for verified baselines, settlement evidence and per-asset attribution.

RS485 · HARD-WIRED

Process & industrial loads

Refrigeration, pumps, compressors and other deterministic loads where cloud latency is not acceptable.

MQTT / HTTPS

Edge to cloud

Store-and-forward through comms loss, command acknowledgement, expiry and a full audit trail.

REST API

Optimiser interface

External market targets enter through one controlled interface. Site constraints enforced before execution.

Deployment

Monitor first. Then control. Then optimise. Then build.

No stage is skipped. A site that has not been monitored reliably cannot be controlled safely, and a site that has not been controlled cannot be traded.

Start at Phase 1.

Ten founding sites get the whole of Phase 1 at no cost.
