We came to software from the switchgear, not the other way round.
Shockflo started in EV charging hardware and OEM development. We designed products, worked with factories, certified them, and shipped them. That work taught us something the software-first companies keep learning the expensive way: the gap between a device that appears in a portal and a device that can be dispatched reliably is where most energy projects quietly fail.
The more charging we installed, the more obvious it became that the charger was rarely the problem. The problem was the supply it sat behind, the solar exporting at a fraction of its value on the same roof, and the fact that nothing on site was talking to anything else. That's the business we're in now.
Before founding Shockflo, our founder delivered EV charging infrastructure across UK commercial estates — including national hotel groups, global logistics operators and international property management firms. Named references available on request.
Three commitments we'd like to be held to.
We separate what's live from what's coming
Our capability table on the Platform page states which functions are live, which run through a partner and which are still in development. It is updated as things move, and we will not describe a roadmap item as a product.
We won't quote flexibility income we can't evidence
A site's theoretical flexible capacity is not its certified, deliverable capacity. We don't put a revenue figure in front of you until a market partner has assessed the asset, the route and the operating constraints.
You keep your data and your options
You own your site data and can export it. Because market targets enter through one controlled interface, you can change optimiser later without redesigning the site. We'd rather earn the renewal than trap it.
A small UK team that has actually been on site. Shockflo is early, and we would rather you knew that from us than found it out later.
